WHY I LOVE IT

Over the years I have tried thousands and thousands of different products, and it always comes down to texture for me; that's what gets me excited about a new product. When I tried the Ash & Ember Eye Soot from Ritual De Fille, the texture made me stop in my tracks and pay attention. Not only are the shades stunning and the color pay off exceptional, it feels so different than you would expect. It's technically a cream shadow, but because they don't use a traditional wax base, it feels really dry, unlike a traditional cream eyeshadow. That means it won't crease in two seconds. The velvety long wearing formula blends seamlessly plus there's no "fall off" or eyeshadow dust like with traditional formulas. You can use your fingers for a smudgy buildable application, you can use an eyeshadow brush for a soft edgeless look that can go from sweet to sex kitten-y, or you can use an angled brush to apply it like an eyeliner. You can also use it under a regular eyeshadow as a color base to enrich the shade you're already using (i.e.: Excuviae adds depth and richness to a taupe, brown or aubergine.) It's as versatile as it is beautiful.

Anima: a shimmering light mauve-pink
A complex neutral shade that merges cool and warm tones, creating radiance but also depth and highlights.
Sigil: a warm champagne with a hint of pink
The perfect shade for a little visual pick-me-up. It adds light to the eye allowing for a soft wash of light, or use it to create a pop of radiance with a smokey eye.
Half Light: a neutral taupe with a soft sheen
Created to feel like the color of an actual shadow, this perfect neutral taupe is the ultimate wearable color. Use it as a soft wash or build it up for a gorgeous smokey eye that will never feel too dark or too heavy.
Serpent De Mer: a deep violet with subtle bronze highlights
The purple in this shade is tempered with a touch of bronze, which neutralizes the purple to almost a burnt taupe. As a soft wash it's a shade that can be gently sultry and in turn incredibly dramatic when layered.
