Hot Tub Time Machine

Hot Tub Time Machine

Jump in that soothing hot water and soak those winter-bashed bones. For me, nothing beats a leisurely soak. It’s forced relaxation. Bringing your phone into the tub is taunting fate, and fate doesn’t like to be teased. So you lay there, queue up a good playlist, maybe sacrifice a magazine or two to the steam, but you really can’t do much and that’s the joy of it. Here are a few of my faves for some serious down time….

I can wax poetic about the Yuzu Bath Bomb Cubes for hours; the soothing pastel colors (no dye, they only use clay to achieve those lovely hues), the incredible smell of the essential oils and how soft your skin feels from the coconut oil. These bath bombs only have four ingredients; I dare you to read the ingredients of some of the other ones on the market. Terrifying.

Getting my circulation going with the Stimulate Bath Mitt is a favorite activity of mine. The skin feels alive and flushes pink from the gentle massaging of the cells in the bath mitt. The design is so perfectly ergonomical and it looks very pretty in the shower, which is a plus.

I’ll take all of the good juju I can get. One of my favorite scents from Wild Yonder is the Anti-Bad Vibe Shield. A heady combo of Frankincense, Ylang Ylang and Rose with Manuka Honey infused salt crystals wash away any bad feelings from the day. Pair that with a little Joni Mitchell and you can close your eyes and pretend you’re in a cute house tucked away in Laurel Canyon in ’68, which sounds pretty nice to me.
