WHY YOU NEED IT

A semi-sheer nail treatment with an instant smoothing effect to erase ridges and imperfections with powerful active ingredients to strengthen and protect the nail. The satin finish polish can be used alone or as a base coat.

WHY I LOVE IT

This product is basically like Spanx for your nails; it smooths everything out and makes whatever goes on top of it just look better. As an undercoat it creates the perfect base for color, or for a whisper soft finish wear the satiny beige color on it's own. Manucurist Paris calls it an all-in-one perfecter, which feels appropriate, because it smooths the surface of the nail, instantly erasing imperfections and ridges. The formula, which is 80% plant based, is made with a cocktail of powerful active ingredients; AHAs protect and hydrate while hexanal's key focus is to repair and strengthen. Active Smooth is akin to wearing a lovely, expensive pair of sheer stockings; nearly undetectable, but like a soft focus filter IRL. 

Pro Tip

Apply one coat for a very natural look or two coats for a stronger smoothing effect. For a mirror-like shine apply a coat of the Sunshine Top Coat.

Layer with other polishes from the Active Range for a bespoke nail:

Adding a layer of Active Shine on top of any polish gives the nail a subtle twinkle. Using a coat of Active Blueberry or Active Raspberry creates a subtle rosy tone with a sheer finish. Active Bright creates a soft opal glow when applied on top of other polishes. Try adding a layer of Active Shine over Smooth or Active Bright for a really beautiful and unique nude. Layer, play and have fun - all of the combinations look incredible.
